Tammerel Casino is at the river end of the ground floor, behind the hall. It is part of this hotel and run by it, in the same building at the same address, and you reach it from inside without going out.
From the desk you walk straight on past the table and the hall, about fifty paces, to the last door, where somebody is on duty every hour the room is open.

The room
Seven tables under the original roof beams
The casino floor is seven tables and a short bar. On a Wednesday in November three are open. On a Saturday in July all seven are, and the door staff count people in and out, because the room only holds so many.
The casino keeps the machine bases in the floor. Instead of being lifted they were filled flush and polished, and the pattern they make is the room's only decoration. There is no music.
The casino has no dress code, which is unusual and intentional. Outdoor boots come off at the hall, as they do everywhere else in the building.
Age and identification
18, checked every single visit
Finland sets the casino age at 18 and it is applied without exception. Identification is checked at the door each time you come in, hotel guests included, even if they were at the table an hour before.
We accept a passport, a Finnish identity card or a driving licence, as long as it shows a date of birth. A photograph of one on a telephone doesn't count.
Nobody under 18 comes into the casino at any hour, closed hours and cleaning included.
Limits and stopping
Agreed with a person, written down
Limits are set on the casino floor with the staff working it. Give them your figure before you sit down and they write it down and hold to it for the evening, or ask them to suggest one.
If you want to stop going to the casino, arrange it in person at the desk. It can't be done on this website or over the telephone. Self-exclusion is signed at the desk and takes effect that evening, and it is lifted only by returning to the same desk in person.
There is no credit on the floor at any time, and no cash machine in the room, the hall or anywhere else inside the building.
